Nysse or Nykänen as he is called was our first import from Belgium, Leo & Mia Goyvaerts, Bouvierkennel v Gewdraa Oel. Basicly Nysse was ment to be Jorma's next working trial dog but... but... but... at that time Jorma's "Lälly" lived through his extra time with us and we knew we would have to let him go soon. The difference between a 9 years old, very majestic male and a little babyboypup was too huge and in the end Nysse became Piukku's boy and so he will stay, too.

Nysse will also probably stay eternally youthful and when times go by he will get only better and better. He is very high in temperament and those judges who have said that "this dog really wants to please his calm and tranquil owner..." do not see Piukku's trembling ...staying as calm as possible and acting like a very little boss in military forces is the only way for keeping this beast on his all four legs when needed! Nysse is honest in what ever he does or thinks to do next and if we fail in trials it happens because Nysse doesn't know yet what I want him to do. He will always do his best - especially in the field work.

Nysse's world is very black and white. He loves or he hates and both feelings he shows from the bottom of his heart and at once. His official and registered name "Sisu" is Finnish and it means guts. He is really soft and tender towards Piukku but if You want to be sure that he has not lost - let's say - one of his legs during the night, You'd better count the legs in the morning. Nysse would come running with his three legs and pay no attention to the missing one... He is, once again, a package of his own kind. On the other hand so soft and pleasing and on the other hand so passionate worker who will do his job whatever it includes - but provided that those tasks are performed with Piukku.  An honest boy scout  with easily flaming eyes...

Nysse started with tracking - as so many of our own bouviers and he is now in training for working dog search. He is very good in obedience, but very busy in that, too. So, the scores always show how effectivly Piukku has succeeded in keeping him in control throughout the whole obedience part of the trial. In almost every one of the trials Nysse has managed to take some time for at least one of his own little clown tricks - and the audience rewards him with a laugh while Piukku set's her teeth wondering "Oh my, thank You very much... and how am I to teach You out of that?" He does what he is asked for but just adds a little bit of something, a tiny personal touch, You know, to one or two parts of obedience and ends up having 80 points where he could have taken 90 points... But, You know, dull he is never.
