Jylppy, Kirppu, Kippari was the smallest and nudest of the 11 Naavaparran V-puppies. She really was no rose by the looks of her but she was the most quickly, the most wicked and the most playful and the most intelligent of them all and she was very, very young when she told Piukku that she will stay here and Piukku will belong to her...

Jylppy has been the most talented working trial dog of Piukku. She was only 2 years and 4 months old as she took part in working dog trials for the last time in the autumn of 1994. We were eagarly waiting for the next trial season to start, Jylppy was supposed to continue Working Dog Search in Class III and Tracking and General trial in class II ...but she never continued nothing nomore... In April 1995 she fell into a frost hole while training search, broke her pelvis and right knee and became disabled for the rest of her life.  It took one year for her to recover to that degree that we knew we could keep her with us as a familydog.

Jylppy is now 6,5 years old and she is still with us but neighter she nor Piukku has never really accepted this kind of a destiny. Piukku cannot face Jylppy's eyes when leaving the house for the training with Klaara and Nysse and Jylppy doesn't stop suggesting joining them to the woods or to the training field. Why does it so very often seem to be so that the very best are here only for a short while and just like for showing, proving to us how easy and how simple and how enjoyable working and training with a working dog may be at it's best... I miss so much working with her.
