The individual parts are easier than in their original trial's, but alltogether general trial with it's many separate parts executed one right after another is more difficult than you may guess. A participating dog must be motivated to different parts of the trial, which is easy only for the best kind of dogs.

Retrieving of a dropped object
This part is executed in the forest. Instructor and a off leash heeling dog follow a marked arc in the woods. At specified point the instructor drops some object (often a glove) without showing it to the dog. After continuing a spefified distance the instructor stops and sends the dog to retrive the object. Dog should track the way back to the object and bring it to the instructor.
Carrying of a heavy object
The object to carry is normally a small bag. The dog must take the object and heel the instructor carrying it and without chewing or dropping it until the instructor demans it.
